East St. Louis
It'll be at least a week before I can get back on here (I'm assuming). This next week I'll be part of a work team going to the inner city of E. St. Louis, Illinois. Yep, it's just across the river from St. Louis, and has been called the "most dying city" in America. If you've read the book "Savage Inequalities" by Jonathan Kozol, you'll know where and what I'm talking about from the first chapter. I'm sure I've got a lot to learn while I also have an opportunity to serve there. I'm looking forward to the challenges and opportunities. If you think about it, I'd appreciate your prayers. Have a GREAT week!

Hi Peter,
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I have enjoyed reading yours. Here is the link to news on David Irving, who was recently convicted of denying that the holocoust took place.

I'm curious as to what you thought of your trip...I've read the book and I am anxiously waiting for a report...
Ok I know it is a tough area in that city you are going to...did you get mugged? Murdered?
I only found your blog after your last post and I would love to hear more from you!
Peter,
Thanks for your kind words. This has been a difficult time for me. I appreciate your kindness.
Theresa
